Mynt acquires CostPocket to strengthen AI expense management capabilities and regional growth
September 10, 2026
The acquisition brings together Mynt’s spend management platform and CostPocket’s AI-driven expense management solution, strong localisation and established position in Finland and the Baltics.

Stockholm, Tallinn and Helsinki – 10/09/26] – Swedish fintech company Mynt has acquired 100 percent of Estonian technology company CostPocket. The acquisition strengthens Mynt’s regional footprint and will allow CostPocket to broaden its offering with Mynt’s corporate cards, payment infrastructure and spend management platform.

Founded in 2016, CostPocket has built a strong AI-driven solution for receipt capture and expense management, localised for Finland and the Baltic markets. Its platform connects with more than 40 accounting and ERP systems and supports businesses, accountants and software partners across the region. The companies share a product-led culture, a strong focus on automation and a belief that financial administration should be simple and closely connected to local accounting systems. Their capabilities are complementary: Mynt provides a broad spend management platform, while CostPocket brings deep expertise in expense workflows, local accounting processes and software integrations.

The acquisition follows an existing technology partnership through which CostPocket launched its own business card powered by Mynt. Bringing the companies closer together is a natural next step and creates a stronger foundation for CostPocket’s continued development.

“CostPocket has built a strong AI-driven product, a broad integration ecosystem and a well-established position in Finland and the Baltics. We share the same product mindset and ambition to remove manual financial administration. Together, we can strengthen CostPocket’s offering and strengthen the market leading position in the region,” says Baltsar Sahlin, CEO and co-founder of Mynt.

“Becoming part of Mynt gives us access to Mynt's proven and scaled payment infrastructure, while allowing CostPocket to remain CostPocket. We will continue operating as a separate company with the same product, brand, and team, focused on the customers and partners in our existing markets. For our founders and early investors, this is also a proud milestone: proof that a product built in the Baltics can earn its place in the Nordic fintech landscape,” says Toni Kivinen, CEO of CostPocket.

CostPocket will continue operating in Finland and the Baltics under its existing brand, product, management and team, supported by Mynt’s broader spend management platform. There will be no changes for its customers, employees or partners.
