Our Journey
Mynt was created in 2018 when three colleagues — Baltsar Sahlin, Magnus Wideberg, and Johan Obermayer — found themselves struggling to enter their weekly receipts into the outdated accounting system used by the company where they all worked at the time. Since then, Mynt has raised over SEK 550 million in capital from investors including Visa, Vor Capital, CNI, and other reputable investors. Mynt is an e-money institution and is supervised by the Swedish Financial Supervisory Authority.
